iPhone 11 Pro – 2 Weeks Later
So I’ve been using the iPhone 11 Pro for the past two weeks and I wanted to share my thoughts and give you my review.
Design and Features
I personally went for the iPhone 11 Pro in Space Gray. I like the smaller form factor as I’m not a fan of huge phones. I prefer something that can easily fit in my pockets. The Space Gray color looks fantastic, even though the Midnight Green is also a popular choice. The only difference between the iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max is the bigger screen and the bigger battery. Other than that, everything else inside the phone, including the cameras and the chip, is exactly the same.
Comparing it to last year’s iPhone XS, the iPhone 11 Pro boasts a bigger battery, a new A13 chip, better water resistance, and a faster 18W charger in the box.
Display and Face ID
The front of the phone looks almost identical to the iPhone XS, but the display is now brighter, reaching up to 800 nits in daylight and 1200 nits when viewing HDR content. The absence of 3D Touch is not really missed, as the newer long press feature has been easy to adjust to.
Face ID is noticeably faster on the iPhone 11 Pro and works at tighter angles, making it more convenient to unlock the phone from a desk.
iOS 13 and Performance
When I first got the phone, iOS 13 was quite buggy, with apps crashing and other issues. However, with the latest updates, including iOS 13.1.2, these problems have been resolved, and the performance has been much smoother.
Camera
The biggest changes can be seen on the rear of the phone, particularly with the triple camera setup. The wide-angle lens is a welcome addition and provides some very unique perspectives. The standard camera has also been noticeably upgraded, with sharper and more vibrant images. The new low light mode is cool, but the overall low-light performance could still improve.
Video Capabilities
The video capabilities on the iPhone 11 Pro are the best, with sharpness, clarity, and vibrant colors. The autofocus is fast and accurate, making it an ideal choice for shooting high-quality videos.
In conclusion, the iPhone 11 Pro has proved to be a great choice for those who prefer a smaller form factor, improved camera capabilities, and top-notch performance. With iOS 13 and future updates, the overall user experience is only expected to get better.
