I Paid 5 Designers To Design THE SAME Logo… 💸 (So Clean)
Have you ever wondered what different designers would come up with when given the same design brief? Well, I decided to put that to the test by paying 5 designers to design the same logo for a fake company called ProCast. Each designer had 3 hours and a specific budget to work with, and the results were both surprising and intriguing. Let’s take a look at what each of them came up with!
Meet Logan Krinn – Experienced Amateur Designer
Logan Krinn is an experienced amateur designer who took on the challenge of designing a $75 logo for ProCast. The first impressions of Logan’s design were mixed – the logo had a clean, minimalistic look but lacked contrast and appeared a bit too dark. The concept behind the logo was to create a sense of elevation and to make it easily identifiable on mobile icons. While the idea was well-pitched and the overall presentation was good, the muted color choices left something to be desired. However, considering the budget and time constraints, Logan’s work was commendable.
Henry James – Experienced Designer Found on Twitter
Henry James, an experienced designer found on Twitter, was given a budget of $150 to design the ProCast logo within 3 hours. His design took a different approach, featuring an illustration-style logo with an old-fashioned microphone. While the design was bold and the typeface used was appealing, there were concerns about its scalability for app icons and website usage. The design appeared more suitable for a magazine cover rather than a modern podcasting service. The lack of a modern feel and a disconnect from the brief were apparent in this design, revealing the challenges of balancing creativity with practicality.
A Closer Look At The Design Process
Each designer had their own unique take on the ProCast logo, with different strengths and weaknesses in their designs. While Logan’s design leaned towards simplicity and clean presentation, Henry’s design showcased boldness and creativity. However, both designs revealed the importance of considering practicality and modern branding in logo design, especially for podcasting services aimed at a tech-savvy audience.
