Reviewing INSANE Subscriber LOGO Designs! 😲Ep 14
Today, we are going to be critiquing and reviewing some of your logo designs on Reddit. Let’s see who’s been the most upvoted and who’s bringing the best design this week. This video is brought to you by Millernote.
First Impressions
Let’s take a look at the top submissions for this week. The first one is a logo using the overlapping logo trend, resembling the Mastercard logo. The design looks good and the colors are vibrant. However, the shape of your future parts is too small to be on a logo. The mock-ups provided are great, but without context, it’s hard to understand the purpose of the logo.
Conceptual Institution Logo
The next design is for a conceptual institution to help students reach their maximum ability. The black and white logo is clever, professional, and works well as an app icon. However, it lacks context and doesn’t represent the purpose of the institution.
Hashcoin Logo
The logo for Hashcoin, a cryptocurrency for everyone, is well-suited with currency symbols and a hash. The clean design and bright blue color make it look professional. However, the kerning needs improvement, and the circle in the app icon is unnecessary.
Motorcycle Mechanic Logo
The logo for a motorcycle mechanic is overly complicated. Similar to the old Discord logo, it suffers from overcomplexity. Simplifying the general shapes is necessary to improve the design.
Nocturnal Bookstore Logo
The logo for a nocturnal bookstore features an owl and a book. While the design is nice, it’s too detailed due to the close lines. Simplifying it by creating an optical illusion of a book opening could improve the design.
Sponsorship Announcement
Before we move on to the next submission, I want to thank the sponsor of this video, Millernote. Millernote is a visual project management app that allows for easy communication and project organization. Sign up for free using the link in the description.
Branding Process
The last submission showcases the design process for some branding work done for a company. Unfortunately, we’ve run out of time to review this submission in this episode, but stay tuned for future episodes where we may revisit it.
In conclusion, the submissions this week had some great designs with potential for improvement. Thank you to all the participants for sharing their work. Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more logo design reviews. See you in the next episode!
