Hey guys what is going on welcome back to my channel i wanted to talk about something that’s i guess related to my youtube and that is kind of the morals of being a youtuber okay and i want to give you three different examples here so number one is I am approached by a business offering a straight affiliate deal okay the other option is a sponsored video and the third option is affiliate deal but it’s my choice okay so these are all three these have all happened to me and i have never accepted this ever if someone sends me an email Asking for an affiliate deal every single time i say you can do a sponsored video but i don’t want to have an affiliate deal and only one person one group of people have responded to me and that was the sponsors of episode five of the seo thing So yeah sponsored videos i am i’m open to sponsors because i the the problem for me with with this is i don’t like the fact that i only make money if my viewers lose money like for me that that’s just it’s just not right like it really it just Doesn’t feel right to me at all um and you know i i don’t i don’t have time to check out all of the tools in great detail to make sure that they’re really really good like uh i get so many messages so affiliate printing from the same people as well So I did actually i signed up to print for myself the sales samurai have emailed me constantly and like i don’t like that they make affiliate accounts without you even giving permission and i never signed up for this email at one point look how many emails they’re sending I just didn’t respond and then i responded and i said like i don’t think you’re allowed to email me because i’m a european citizen kind of am i european kind of because i’m british am i european i can’t i feel european i live in europe um Yeah i don’t know i guess i’m still european but anyway there’s a new privacy thing and i’m pretty sure that they can’t email me uh i don’t i don’t know 100 and not legal advice i guess i have to say but um i don’t like it when people i don’t Mind if it’s a viewer because or whatever it might be um but if if it’s a business and i originally said no and then they continued they continued to email me and that’s when i just said like look you’re not allowed to email me blah blah and they said yeah okay we’ll Stop emailing me emailing you and then they emailed me again they re-added me to their series this is the problem with ai tools i’m getting a bit off topic here but whatever ai tools or not even just ai tools like scraping tools to like any tools that get mass Emails or whatever it might be yeah it’s um this is the problem because you’re just gonna keep picking up the same people so iss is income stream server just so you know only one person has ever called me that but i’m gonna try and make it a thing so yeah iss is Income stream server um so my email will just repeatedly come up again and again and again because i’ve got it on my youtube publicly which is fine but as soon as i say no stop emailing me you know what i mean because it’s annoying um if it’s if it’s a viewer i’ve never Sometimes i i don’t ignore people i just don’t reply because i’m so busy and i just read the email and i’m like oh i’ll reply to that in 20 minutes after i finish doing whatever i’m doing and then i just completely forget so apologize to anyone that i’ve ever done that to but Yeah i’m just i’m quite forgetful anyway sponsored videos um yeah i i take sponsorships because for me it’s just me putting another advert on my channel and it’s completely up to you guys if you click on up and then there are affiliate deals that are my choice i’ve only really got One and that’s jasper and i’m i think episode episode 7 or episode 8 of the seo course are going to be using jasper to write cold emails to help a reporter not even cold email emails i guess helper reports for his hot emails i still need to build out the Website with content otherwise it’s just going to look like a fake website which it kind of is but at some point i’m going to start emailing people um And jasper is just a tool that saves a lot of time so another thing i probably would if i could go back i would probably have an affiliate deal with uh hosting her i’m not going to just because i’ve already done eight episodes or seven episodes or whatever my seo series but Hosting has been absolutely incredible i paid forty dollars for just everything for one year and i don’t have to worry about it and it is encouraging me to actually work on the website so forty dollars for one year for uh hosting and email and yeah just basically everything which is Pretty good if you don’t know if you set up a website with something like name cheap and you pay per month you have to pay eight dollars a month so i think it’s pr it’s really worth it to get the one year it’s really really worth it Oh and then there’s also my patreon i think i’m thinking of changing patreon to buy me a coffee because buy me a coffee is much less like because it’s not a subscription it’s just a one-time thing i’m also thinking of putting my uh ether and like i don’t know solana Wallets in my description and i might just leave it at that honestly instead of patreon because i don’t know i always feel like i owe people something if uh on my patreon um yeah i don’t know i’d rather just you know if people want to buy me a coffee Or send me like five dollars worth of f don’t don’t send me five dollars worth of earth because if you send me five dollars worth of f it will cost you more than five dollars to send it so solana i guess i’ll put my solana wallet in the description or Whatever anyway i thought that would be an interesting look into the i don’t i shouldn’t have used the word morals morals was the wrong word i guess like the business the business of being a youtuber a lot of people and i don’t blame them they run their youtubes completely as a Business and i know it is a business but for me it just feels more like a passion project that i can enjoy so i don’t really want to like maximize monetization monetization which is what i would do if it was a website if it was like the crypto file the one that i’m Making for my seo series if it was that then you want to maximize monetization but my youtube is just yeah it’s my youtube i don’t really know it’s more of a passion project than anything else and yeah it’s been a wild ride i’m really enjoying it i’m glad to be back Making content i feel like i can make content on whatever the i want to make content on and
