Vlog 1 – Charity Shops
Hey guys i’m gonna do something i haven’t really done before and i’m just gonna vlog this is my last day in London i’m coming back to Italy tomorrow but i’m gonna do something pretty special today which is to go charity shopping it’s one of my favorite things to do and i discovered a few charity shops in London in the local area where i’m staying and they have a lot of potential i saw some good brands for pretty cheap so yeah let’s see what we can find if you don’t know what charity shopping is basically in England normally when someone dies or if you have some things that you don’t really use you can give them to a charity shop the charity shop sells them to the general public and any money raised should and does i think go to the charity and that’s how it works it’s run by volunteers normally uh there are a couple of paid people as well i think normally yeah let’s get into it let’s see what i can find i’m mainly looking for a white shirt and a couple of other things so yeah okay so i feel pretty awkward filming in public i actually hate it but i’m approaching the charity shops now this is what they look like so there are two that i’ve spotted so far there’s an oxfam and then there’s a cancer research UK here i bought a pair of shoes at the cancer research okay so yeah i’m probably not gonna film in there because i just feel really awkward but i’ll have a look see if there’s anything good in that okay guys so first purchase is this jacket i just really liked it and it’s nice and warm and but it’s not it’s also not too warm and i think it looks good when it’s done up this was 30 pounds um looks like it’s polyester 30 wool yeah i don’t know i’m happy with the purchase i got it 30 pounds from cancer research UK next up is oxfam okay so that is the end of my trip the final thing i bought is this shirt which yeah it’s just like a burton cotton shirt pretty nice 15 quid pretty happy with it i didn’t even try it on i’m going to try it on now a bit of a stupid decision but there was a queue at the charity shop uh yeah i hope that you guys enjoyed this kind of uh vlogging style charity shops are fantastic um they’re it’s kind of a trade-off they’re really really good in the north of England but a lot of the stuff is not as good quality in the south of England they have better quality especially in the area that i’m in i’m in Chelsea and Kensington right now so if you know anything about London then you know um where i am and how expensive it is so they had some very interesting things today they had some Zegna suits which i’ll leave some pictures off i took some pictures uh they had i don’t actually know how to pronounce it i think it is Ralph Lauren which is another really expensive brand uh i took a picture so i will definitely show you guys some pictures but yeah i had a really good day got a jacket a shirt and also the other day i may as well show you these i bought these from a charity shop the other day they are brand new pretty much unworn and you can’t really see it but that says Dr. Martens i paid 50 pounds for these and brand new they’re about 150 maybe even 200 so and Ow i should not have done that they they have steel ow that really hurt they have steel here so they’re great for working they’re great for doing stuff and yeah i had another pair they got ruined and i found these so all in all oops i Spent uh just under 100 pounds on a designer jacket a nice shirt and some really really useful shoes as well those shoes will last me three or four years so spending 50 pounds on them i don’t really mind normally i wouldn’t spend that much to be honest with you but Charity shops you know sometimes it’s nice to just splash out if you really really like something anyway just thought you guys might enjoy i’ll see you really really soon some more content and peace out.
