Why SEO is Here to Stay
So obviously this is a bit of a change if you normally watch my YouTube channel this isn’t what you’re used to at all but it’s just a lovely evening and I have a really really nice view and the sun’s going down and I wanted to talk About something and also the you can see the cat in the background there she wants to come outside and I don’t really like to let her go outside and around so I thought I’d just sit out here and I wanted to talk about something So why not I hope the audio is okay and yeah let’s just get into it you can just see span are looking so I wanted to talk about is SEO dead cuz it’s like it’s almost a meme at this point um or is SEO going to die or you know when is AI Going to take over blah blah blah okay and a lot of YouTubers me included with this video they try and make you know it’s obviously going to get a lot of clicks if you talk about this topic even though it’s been done over and over but I actually want to Give a completely different take on on this topic and I want to talk about why I think SEO is not going to go anywhere I don’t think Google’s going to go anywhere and yeah so let’s talk a little bit about that now.
The Future of SEO with SG
If you’re like me you’re not really someone that will Go on Facebook and see an ad for a product on Facebook and buy it right or Tik Tok I I don’t think I’ve ever spontaneously bought anything in my life so we’re not or I’m not anyway in the majority of people so the way I see it Is that there will be a minority of people who stop using Google who move over to things like you know AI generated search results and things like that but in my opinion the overwhelming majority are still going to be the people who are still buying from Facebook ads there’s loads of flies I’m getting like sworn by flies screw it whatever so obviously I’m not in the majority and you can’t think from out it’s it’s hard to kind of conceptualize things from outside the majority if you’re not in the majority but the way I see it like especially older people people who are maybe 30 Plus 40 plus at the moment the light heard of them changing their searching habits in my opinion a minimum To None minimum to zero like I personally will not stop using Google even though chat GPT exists because I don’t necessarily want to read what AI says I would I’m Quite happy reading what a human says about a topic I don’t you know I’ll use chat GPT for like personalized suggestions things that you needed to use Reddit for before that you couldn’t even use Google for without searching Reddit after the search term but for other things I don’t know why I would Stop using Google and another thing that people talk about is the um search generative experience the sge that Google is bringing in now from what I’ve seen that’s actually going to be replacing featured Snippets and it’s actually a good thing not a bad thing unless at the moment you’re dominating The feature snippet game in which case it’s it’s probably a bad thing but if you’re not dominating featured Snippets right now you should actually see sge is a good thing the reason is a featured snippet is one website at the top of Google but sge is an amalgamation of different Websites all put together at the top of Google so instead of there being one website it’s actually going to be more like 10 websites or 15 websites you can see the cat go for it um so it’s actually going to increase visibility for smaller websites and decrease visibility for bigger websites Which for most people is a good thing because most people that you know watch a channel like this they’re not going to be the huge websites there are some huge websites and we do work with some big websites as well but generally speaking most people are going to be small Business owners um medium business owners startups side projects you know um Google AdSense affiliate marketing kind of websites so yeah that’s um that’s actually going to help people SG is in my opinion is going to help people maybe not affiliate marketers I don’t think Google has ever liked affiliate Marketing or the way that people use Google for affiliate marketing so I think that’s definitely going to have an impact but I think for small e-commerce businesses service businesses that kind of thing I think SG is actually going to have a positive impact instead of a negative impact so when When we’re having calls with people recently the number one question people have is what’s the point in doing this if in 6 months something’s going to change there’s going to be an algorithm update or Google is just going to stop being the dominant search engine but you Really need to ask yourself like how quickly people are going to stop using Google because it it’s all it’s the it’s literally the verb for searching something online is to Google it it’s so ingrained in people’s brains that the likelihood is most older people at least Are not going to stop using Google and I don’t think ranking tactics are going to change I don’t think Google is ever going to go like full video or full short story kind of low attention span kind of thing I think they’re going to stick to what they’ve always been known For which which is just showing kind of curated results for for any search term so I don’t want people to worry and I don’t want people to kind of think that all of the stuff they’re doing now is not going to have an impact in the future because I I totally disagree with This thing that SEO is dead or AI is taking over SEO and something that’s really interesting as well is the algorithm updates what they’re actually doing so a lot of people think they’re focused on removing AI content but that’s not what they’re doing they’re focusing on removing bad content full Stop end of story so if you’re using Ai and you’re worrying that AI content isn’t going to rank or anything like that I suggest you try it out but don’t just go on chat GPT 3.5 and say write me an article about this topic okay instead What I want you to do is I want you to go on my YouTube channel and and I want you to find one of my many writing methods I’d probably recommend the auto blogger right now I think that’s giving the best content and we’re we’re seeing it on client websites we’re working with 30 clients maybe and I’m doing most of the content with the auto blogger we’re doing some other people are doing some content as well but mainly it’s me just using the auto blogger and the auto blogger can work for service Pages location Pages e-commerce Brands affiliate Brands anything really so I encourage you to check that out uh we’re probably going to be releasing like a free desktop app version of it as well at some point um potentially built on flask I’m not really sure yet but yeah I kind of wanted to just talk about this in a more candid setting and Without a script and without me sitting in front of my computer for 10 minutes rambling away so I hope you like this style of video If people like this style of video I’ll definitely do more um it’s nice to sit outside in the evening as Well to be honest with you like I I get kind of bored sitting inside all day so …
