Today, I’m going to show you exactly how I set up this new website for E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) and the design. This is a brand new website that I set up in just 8 minutes and it’s part of a longer playlist on setting up a new website in 2024 and starting to rank it now. The project I’ll be focusing on is Rank and Clap SEO, which currently has no content and just the default theme and design.

Setting Up Elemental for Design Control

To enhance the design of the website, I’m going to start by setting up Elemental, which is a design plugin for WordPress. I’ll upload the Elemental zip file, activate the plugin, connect my account, and set up the theme. I’ll add my logo to the site as well. Elemental allows for easy customization of the theme and design, saving time on design tweaks.

Creating the Homepage

After setting up Elemental, I’ll create a new page for the homepage and edit it using Elemental. I’ll choose a design template, delete unnecessary sections, and edit the content to suit my needs. Once the homepage is ready, I’ll set it as the static homepage in WordPress settings.

Customizing the Header and Menu

I’ll customize the header and menu of the website by selecting a suitable header design in Elemental. I’ll create a menu, add pages like About and Contact to it, and ensure it displays on the entire site. I’ll adjust the colors and styling of the menu to align with the brand colors and design of the site.

Adding Content and Call-to-Actions

Next, I’ll add content to the homepage, including images and text about the website and its purpose. I’ll include call-to-action buttons to encourage user interaction and engagement. I’ll also add a favon to the site for branding purposes.
