A Look Inside My Logo Sketchbooks… 🤔Sketchbook Tour!
Introduction
Hey guys what’s going on it’s me one person again with another video today I’m taking you through my sketchbooks that I’ve been drawing in for the past few years. I think six seven years. I’m a hand lettering artist, logo designer, and an author as well. So I’ve been drawing, sketching, designing for roughly about eight years now. I’ve kept some of the sketchbooks that I started in, and you can sort of see the progression. So if you’re feeling today a bit down in the dumps because your work isn’t as good as other people’s, we all feel it. And it’s something that’s completely normal. But today I’m gonna be showing you my sketchbooks and you’ll learn a lot. And if you watch till the end of the video, you’ll actually learn a lot about how you can do better in design, how you can find mistakes, and basically refine your work process. Also, just a cheeky shoutout to my new merch (clothing line) called Kingdom. If you’re interested, check out the tabs below in the video.
Pencil Case
Before we get into the sketchbooks, I want to show you my pencil case called the Sendak peg. It’s a really cool pencil case where I keep all my pens, mechanical pencils, erasers, and everything else I need for sketching. It’s like one of those vintage ones where you fold it out, and you’ve got all your tools neatly organized. In here, I’ve got everything I need for sketching, including my mechanical pencils, pens, gothic calligraphy pens, and more. Let’s move on to the sketchbook tour!
Sketchbook Tour
First Sketchbook
I’m flipping through my first sketchbook where you can see various doodles, lettering experiments, and client project ideas. From Happy Few to Castle on the Hill, I showcase my journey in hand lettering and logo designing. Each page tells a story of inspiration, trial, and creativity. The process of sketching out ideas before finalizing them is evident throughout.
Second Sketchbook
Onto my second, smaller sketchbook where I explore more intricate designs and logo concepts. From Beard of Man to Creative Day Beats, I delve into client projects and personal creative expressions. The pages are filled with unique lettering styles and quirky doodles that showcase my evolving skills and artistic vision.
