AirPods Pro – What I Think

Hey what’s up everyone Hollyer here so finally Apple have released the AirPods Pro. To be honest, when I saw the leaks a few months ago, I didn’t think they were legit but here we are, we actually have them. They announced them very quickly and released them very quickly. The unboxing experience is pretty simple. Once you open it up, you get the AirPods themselves and then you also get some nice little ear tips which you can change on the AirPods themselves compared to the standard AirPods. You also get a USB C 2 lightning cable to charge them.

The Design

The design of the case itself is pretty familiar. It’s basically the current AirPods squished and then widened, but the actual size of them is pretty much the same. When you open the case, the earbuds themselves have a all-new design. They don’t really look anything like the current ones. The stem itself is a little bit shorter, the ear tip itself is also a different design. There is a grill on them as well for air to pass through and there’s a couple of microphones and sensors as well.

Ear Tip Fit Test

When you go into the settings of the AirPods Pro, there’s a new feature called ear tip fit test. Apple have microphones in the earbuds themselves and they measure if you have a good seal or not in your ear. This is a good way to see if you need to adjust them or use different tip size to get a good seal.

Features

Some unique features of the AirPods Pro include active noise cancellation and transparency mode. The active noise cancellation is pretty good. It’s adequate for public transport and everyday use. The transparency mode allows you to hear the outside world, making it useful for staying aware of your surroundings. The squeeze functionality allows you to play, pause, and perform other actions.

Sound Quality

When it comes to sound quality, it’s satisfactory. It’s not bad at all for everyday use. If you’re looking for superior sound quality, these may not be the best option. However, for everyday tasks and commuting, they provide good enough sound quality. The bass is improved due to better isolation, but the overall clarity is only slightly better.

It’s interesting that Apple have added the “Pro” name to them, considering the price jump. The main features you’re getting with the Pro version are noise cancellation, transparency, and newer designs.
