Re-Designing My Entire Logo Portfolio!
Choosing a New Template
My portfolio is so old, I have not actually updated it in a long time. It looked good at the time, but it’s been a long while since I’ve actually done anything with it to make it better or to update my newest work. If you go to my Portfolio section, all the work there is at least three to five years old, apart from my hand lettering part. This automatically updates by itself, and you can see all this is really old work. But today, we’re going to change this.
Looking for a New Template
I’m going to start by finding a new template for my portfolio website. I have a few old templates installed but I want to find a new one. After browsing through various options, I’ve decided to go with the “York” template for its simplicity and aesthetic appeal.
Edit and Customize the Website
Now that I’ve installed the new template, I can start customizing it to fit my needs. I want my work to be front and center, so I’ll be updating the main navigation, site title, and logo to make everything look clean and professional.
Showcasing My Work
My main focus is to showcase my best projects on the website. I’ll be updating the thumbnails, metadata, and banners to highlight the projects that I enjoyed working on the most. This is crucial in positioning myself for success and attracting potential clients who are interested in my style of work.
Telling a Story Through Design
I want to tell a story through the design of my portfolio. Each project on the website will represent a chapter in my journey as a designer. I want visitors to scroll through the website and get a sense of my growth and creative evolution.
Conclusion
Redesigning my entire logo portfolio is an important step for me as a designer. It not only allows me to showcase my latest work but also tells a story of my creative journey. With the new template and customized design, I’m confident that my portfolio will make a strong impression on potential clients and collaborators.
