It is nearly christmas we have got a few weeks left to go and i am super excited because not only is it nearly christmas which means we get a bit of a break we also have 8.2 000 members on the subreddit which is huge i never thought That we would get this far i didn’t realize people would be uh growing this subreddit i didn’t realize people would join it but it’s great if you haven’t done so already we’re trying to get to 10 000 before christmas just for fun um so that the start of the next year when We start doing the more reddit series it will get better it will be larger there’ll be more people on this we are doing it a bit differently today though because a lot of you guys have been commenting and i do read the comments and try to respond to as many as Possible but a lot of you have been saying well i would love you to critique my work not just the best ones on there and the way that the kind of reddit works is the most upvoted posts i check out so generally the most popular logos are what i’m looking at we’re going Different today because i’m going to take what you guys have said and i’m going to just check out any of the not top voted ones so i’m just going to check out get straight into it okay so here we are we’re on new so this is 32 minutes ago and i’ll just do it like this it’s got one up vote let’s help you out there please help okay that’s an interesting start i have used three logo designers so far on Fiverr to try and create a logo for my new brewery business and so far this is the best they have come up with i’m still not happy but i appreciate the logo design is a difficult thing to get right bloody bloody black my brewery is called rainhop the brief was to create a Logo that would look good on beer labels as well as merchandise such as t-shirts and hoodies i like the idea of using a cloud a hop a rain drop that kind of rhymes a cloud a hop a rain drop or a combination of these okay so you want to Be a label a beer label well the first thing is a lot of this work here especially the actual hop there is probably clip art which if you go to places like fiverr and you don’t go for the top sellers the really good people on fiverr then You know you’re gonna get what you pay for a lot of the time if i was to change this logo i would tell the designer none of these things about the hops if you’re just telling them give them something concise you know with this why is there a drop i know you Asked for a job but there’s no point in having a drop even though it’s rain hop instead of that you could just have an icon as rain it could just be literally rain or an umbrella as the icon the overall composition of it works well for a beer bottle For instance like a sticker on top of it it works really well i mean the typeface isn’t the best but you could you could do worse if i was you i would go for another designer increase your budget for logo design you know a lot of People try to work with us for local design but they can’t afford to because we charge quite a lot for what we uh provide but we provide the best that we can give like the best of the best so this is just a classic case of find a Better designer next one hello it is my first time posting here welcome i’m doing daily logo practice with random prompts and this one is for a space rocket company named eralite please share your thoughts about it and cnc are warmly welcome okay so so far i mean This is a great logo in itself i don’t like the bit in the middle the actual rocket ship it would have been good just this as a mouse pointer that would be good for me maybe even with this dome at the bottom having the rocket ship in There it just adds too much detail um it doesn’t have to be so specific to a rocket you could just make it look nicer i mean even here you can see when it’s on the rocket ship you cannot see that rocket and having a rocket on a rocket Ship doesn’t make much sense that overall shape the chevron or the triangle the rounder triangle works better i will say when it comes to low design practice do not use prompts prompts don’t work for instance right now we’re hiring for another designer to come in and i’m sure a lot of them Uh especially in universities use prompts for these logo designs but that’s not the way it works you’re there to solve a problem and the biggest part of logo design isn’t just like a one word prompt and then you know like a drawing and then sort of like spaceship Let’s create a spaceship logo you’re gonna just come up with a spaceship that’s the problem you need to find connections in fact in my skillshare class i talk about this and you can go ahead and watch it i’ll put the link down below but we actually talk about This and how you can not be so literal in your designs and find connections elsewhere the colors are good very nice bright i like the way that you’ve laid this out i think it’s just a shame that you’ve put the rocket inside that doesn’t make much sense to me i like the Way you’ve laid it all out though if you enjoy doing the logo prompts that is absolutely fine i think it’s great having the a and the arrow makes more sense to me i think it works well i don’t know what it’s for though i guess it’s like a rocket company so take that For what you will okay this next one is four hours ago hey guys this is my first time posting here another first timer hello i want to know what guys think what you guys think about the logo i made for osro herbal it’s a natural cosmetic company based in sri lanka the Logo is inspired by greek and sri lankan symbols okay i don’t know much about greek or sri lankan symbols i’ll be honest with you here so i’m probably not much help uh that’s a lot of information when you’re doing this try and condense this down this looks amazing This is gorgeous i really like the look of that i don’t really have anything to critique from this aside from maybe you don’t need the petals at the end there i think without those petals it would be a lot cleaner and nicer i like the symbolism i Like the typeface you’ve used i like the cosmetic sort of hierarchy that you’ve gone here down the bottle and i love the mock-ups the colors work really
