Reviewing My Followers Graphic Design Portfolios! 😲
Ola’s Portfolio
I just put out a tweet on Twitter saying give me your portfolio send me a link and I’ll critique it so let’s just do that right now. This video is brought to you by Squarespace. Okay, let’s have a look at Ola’s portfolio on Behance. This is really cool, I haven’t seen this before. Ola has used the same brief as the one on the Skillshare class for Origin, which is really nice. Origin is an app that maps the sky in real-time. Ola’s goal is to create a logo and key visuals to use for app marketing and merchandise that will attract beginners in astronomy as well as more experienced hobbyists. The way Ola has presented the logo and brand assets is really nice. Ola has shown the use of the logo on a phone, bridging the gap between fantasy and reality. The presentation is really well done. The only thing I would do differently is the background, it looks a bit too harsh. Overall, well done Ola!
Michael Duane’s Portfolio
Next, let’s have a look at Michael Duane’s portfolio on design.my. Michael has some great work displayed here. The rebrand concept for Pepperidge Farm since 1937 is really well executed. The old and new logos are compared, showing a modern twist on a heritage design. The packaging design is also well done, maintaining the brand’s heritage while giving it a modern touch. The portfolio piece for Paiseo is a great example of a fake project used to showcase design skills. Michael’s work has improved over the years, and the timberland and “Let’s Make Some Friends” club logos are really well designed. Great work, Michael!
GG In My Pica’s Portfolio
Finally, let’s look at GG In My Pica’s portfolio on Scitec Aluminum. The standard logo looks good, and the work displayed on Dribble is also impressive. However, the limitation of only having little shots on Dribble is a downside. My advice for GG In My Pica would be to create a custom website to showcase their work. Squarespace is a great option for creating a customizable portfolio website that can attract clients from around the world. With thousands of fully customizable templates, Squarespace is the right choice for creating a personalized portfolio. Don’t just rely on social media platforms, get yourself a real tangible website where you can truly make your work stand out.
In conclusion, reviewing my followers’ graphic design portfolios has been a great experience. Ola, Michael Duane, and GG In My Pica have all displayed impressive design skills, and I look forward to seeing more great work from them in the future!
