Sony A7 III Review – YouTuber’s Perspective

Hey what’s up guys over here so I’ve been using the Sony a7 III as my main camera for the last month. I got it when it just released or super keen to get my hands on it but I wanted to do a review from a youtubers perspective because I mainly got this camera for YouTube videos and for Instagram pictures and stuff like that. I’m not a professional filmmaker or anything so I’m not going to be doing this for professional filmmakers review. The main reason for me getting their Sony a7 III was because it was a full-frame mirrorless camera.

Kit Lens Impressions

I ended up getting my Sony a7 III with the kit lens mainly because it’s my first Sony full-frame mirrorless camera and I think a lot of people who’ll be buying the Sony a7 III will also be getting the kit lens with it because most likely it will be their first sort of foray into the Sony ecosystem. I forced myself to use the kit lens for last month. My last two videos have also be shot with the kit lens. I just wanted to see what it was capable of and I got to say I’m very very impressed by it. The kit lens is great for everyday use. It’s great for doing videos like this because I’m using it right now even though a lot of people don’t like kit lenses I think the kit lens that you get with the Sony a7 III is it very good styling. You get good sharpness, you get good autofocus and you get a decent depth of field obviously it’s not gonna come up against sort of premium lenses in gmrc lenses you’re not gonna get anywhere near close to those sorts of lenses but for everyday use and for people like me who are just in YouTube videos and taking Instagram Pictures I think the kit lens is a really really good lens to start off with.

Full-Frame Sensor Benefits

One of the main reasons I wanted a full-frame Sony camera was because the Micro Four Thirds sensor on Panasonic cameras was just a bit too small for me. I found out the Sony a7 III with the full-frame sensor really does so much better in low light and you get so much better depth of field compared to Micro Four Thirds which I think makes such a difference when it comes to versatility.

Autofocus and Battery Life

The autofocus system on the Sony a7 III is absolutely amazing. The Panasonic cameras do not even come close. It’s not as good as Canon’s dual pixel AF but I found it trustworthy enough where I can use it for videos like this and it has great battery life.
