From its wide range of customizable brushes to its seamless integration with other Adobe Creative Cloud apps, Adobe Fresco has become my go-to tool for all logo design projects. In this blog, I’ll dive into the reasons why I use Adobe Fresco and how it has elevated my logo design process. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned designer, you’ll discover the benefits of using Adobe Fresco for logo design.
Why I use Adobe Fresco for Logo Design
There’s no question that I actually use Procreate a lot on my iPad. In fact, it’s one of my most used drawing applications. I use a plethora of apps for my creative work on the iPad, such as Procreate, Vectornator, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Fresco. All these apps are great at doing different things, some of them doing things better than others and vice versa. Two years ago, Adobe Fresco was released onto the iPad and I was excited for it, as were many other illustrators and designers. Prior to that, Adobe had an app called Adobe Sketch, which they used. Even before the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro came out, Adobe had something called the Adobe Ink and Slide, which was like an Apple Pencil with a little nub that could be used as a ruler. Now, the reason I’m talking a bit more about Adobe Sketch and why it has been brought into Adobe Fresco is because there are a lot of features inside Adobe Fresco that people don’t really know about but will love if they discover them. In this article, I will try to convince some of you to try Adobe Fresco as a powerful tool for logo designing and other creative work on the iPad.
Utilizing Drawing Aids and Rulers
The biggest feature that Adobe Fresco has that Procreate doesn’t is rulers. In Procreate, there are guides and the Hold for Straight Line functionality, which are great, but Adobe Fresco takes it a step further by incorporating drawing aids such as rulers, circles, squares, and polygons, which are essential for achieving precision and consistency in logo design, font creation, and complex hand lettering.
Enhanced Precision for Logo Design and Font Creation
For logo design and font creation, precision and consistency are essential. Adobe Fresco’s drawing aids and rulers make it easier to achieve precise shapes and lines, making it a valuable tool for logo designers and font creators. It allows for cleaner and more consistent designs compared to using other drawing applications like Procreate. Additionally, Adobe Fresco’s export to Illustrator functionality makes the transition to vectorization seamless, saving time and effort in the design process.
