Designing a FREE Logo in Zagreb, Croatia

Hey guys, what’s going on? It’s me, Will Paterson, and welcome back to a new video. We’ve got a really different kind of video for you today. That’s right, you’re seeing me ask a random European coffee shop if they would like a free logo designed. This took me and a couple of days ago to Zagreb, Croatia, with me and a bunch of other guys who make content online. The challenge was to see if I could go and ask a random shop in the city of Zagreb if they would like me to design their logo for them. The basic idea was I had to design them a logo while I was over there, but it turned into so much more than what I expected.

Exploring Zagreb

Challenging a Coffee Shop

We are in Zagreb right now with the Asus team. We’re outside of the cool hotel Cherise, and we’re about to challenge ourselves to ask a coffee shop in Zagreb if they would like a free logo design. We’re just waiting for our ride and once we get there, I’ll pick it back up.

Designing on Location

As we arrive at the coffee shop, I approach the owner and offer to design a logo for them for free. I show them how I can design on my Asus Zenbook Duo and even offer to create a design on their chalkboard or window. The owner, who is a Croatian designer, is excited about the opportunity and allows me to work my magic.

Using the Zenbook Duo

The Asus Zenbook Duo allows me to draw directly onto the screen in Photoshop, creating a rough draft of the logo before finalizing it. Despite some challenges with a large chalk marker and language barriers, I am able to create a unique design for the coffee shop, showcasing my work in a real-life setting.
